  Great venue for functions. Kids loved all the learning stations and displays. We had an office/family Christmas gathering here and it was a great time

  Hit the right time (sunrise or sunset) between September 10 and freeze up,....and you will be "AWED" . However, they are right on the edge of over overdevelopment. 35 years ago,as a young man, I used to go out there, before development and it was a bit better,...just a few roads. more variety of wildlife..saw foxes ,coyotes ,raptors galore, owls, and dozens of different types of migratory game birds, and herons,cranes , eagles , every time, you name it. Exit out the north end road and drive by the Bison ranch, that can be awesome too. But this place is a must see and I still go out there 2,3, or 4 times per year.....I take a picnic lunch and some binoculars and enjoy. Please, remember folks , there are no street sweepers out there,...take you Garbage with you, leave the environs as you found it. Enjoy Gods handiwork.

  An amazing place. Every time we go there, there is something new to see and experience. Even if it rains. The staff guides are very enthusiastic and helpful. They also appear to like the place. Thank you. PS: Set a Web cam that could be controlled over the Internet. Many more young people could also experience the place, and be amazed watching the thousands of birds taking off for their journey.
